Welcome to my blog! I’m Devon Hubbard Sorlie, the mother of a 24-year-old electrical engineering graduate from Virginia Tech. I share my home with two cats, Amos and Andy, and a pair of rescued Golden retrievers, Chessie and Charlee.
I’m an editor of the Clipper, a community newspaper for the city of Chesapeake that is inserted twice-weekly in The Virginian-Pilot.
But more interestingly, my 15-year-old niece has decided to attend high school in Virginia and she is now living with me.
I thought I was done raising kids, but now I get a chance all over again — and this time a teenage girl.
